Following the Rift which led to a breakup between Mavin label owner Don Jazzy and Wande coal, D Banj has stepped into the picture by asking Wande Coal to ‘port’ to DB records so he can be known internationally.
In an open letter to Wande Coal, D Banj said that “Wande has always wanted to follow me to the promise land but has always been scared of Egbon Jazzy because of his ‘Baby-Face’ so i was happy when the news of his moving on from Mavin came through”.
When quizzed on the content of the letter by FNN, D Banj responded saying ” Fi le, don’t tell me nonsense, Wande don port to DB records , the MAVIN don turn to AVI now”.
We tried to get a response from Wande Coal to verify the validity of the claim by D Banj but he was unavailable at press time for questioning
